brighton band beachtape has released a sunny new single ahead of their SXSW performances at the line of best fit showcase. 'somewhere better' is a fuzzy indie rock gem with soaring guitar, driving rhythms and the beach-pop undertones that make beachtape so brilliant and distinct. listen below or click here for more:
“it’s about change. the inevitable changes in our future, and reflecting on changes from our past. the idea of something feeling so significant in the moment, but becoming so insignificant over time and vice versa. our lives in and outside of the band have changed a lot over the last year and we’re all in completely different places to what we may have imagined a year ago.”
the band has been making a name for themselves in the indie scene, having received praise from the likes of the independent, diy, clash and the line of best fit and having performed with yowl, egyptian blue and roxy girls. now, beachtape has linked up with cannibal hymns artist theo verney on production.
'somewhere better' has been released ahead of the band's upcoming ep 'bigger picture', to be released on april 10th via what marbles?
