brighton duo spang sisters have shared mesmerising new single, 'thank you, will shortz' one month before their self-titled debut album arrives on the 21st of may.
a tranquil but groovy track, 'thank you, will shortz' feels like a daydream and serves as a tribute to the comfort we find in the more pedestrian components of our day to day life - something we can certainly all relate to at present.
"'thank you, will shortz' is an ode to the editor of the new york times crossword," rachid explains. "for many years, this particular puzzle has been a source of comfort and solace for me so - at the dawn of lockdown - i thought it fit to pen him an ode in a time where sacred rituals were valued more than ever."
